The construction of the new Day Nursery and Children’s Home

NEWS FLASH

The construction of the new Day Nursery and Children’s Home will stop unless - to continue the project - there is an immediate cash infusion.

The construction of our new home for underprivileged children was progressing smoothly with all payments up to date. Low and behold, we are unable to obtain further funds from the financial agency CLICO, (an international Life Insurance Company), where $1,618,000 Can ($3,236,000 EC) have been placed.

The company is in difficulty. For months now we have been battling with this agency to obtain our funds secured with them for the first phase of the construction, but with little or no avail. We are now in a crisis with no more funds to complete the construction.

We need $670,000 Can ($1,340,000 EC) to complete.

We do not wish the construction to stop at this critical stage-with the roof nearing completion. We are appealing to you for any assistance that can be given to us at this time of need.

Flooding, April 9, 2010

As many of you are aware, the children are living in a makeshift house that leaks when the rain falls and with other poor elements for a long time now. On account of the heavy rain April 7 and 8 the current building where the children are temporally housed was heavily damaged. There is water everywhere from the leaking roof.

Thanks in advance for your continued kindness and concern for these many under privileged children who depend on our love and care for survival.

God Bless You.
